Thesignlab is a creative laboratory composed of designers and architects with a focus on architecture, design and communication. In 2005 Thesignlab became reality and began to operate across two Italian cities: the post-industrial town of Turin and the historically layered Lucca. In 2009 the office expanded its range of action by adding the city of Brussels to the existing two locations. Thesignlab lives between these three cities. By closely observing their environment, the office works with enthusiasm and awareness of the crucial connection between the social production of space and resulting built form. Creative solutions are offered based on thesignlab’s know-how, open-mindedness and a strong curiosity for emerging and shifting social practices.
